In response to the social unrest in 2020, Dr. Burroughs spearheaded the development of a virtual panel discussion geared toward addressing trauma and stress for children. Her initiative, “What Do We Say to Our Kids” had over 50,000 views over the course of three days, providing tools and resources to parents seeking assistance with conversations about quarantine, racial trauma, and other mental health concerns.
